I was wondering if it might be possible for the Gates Foundation to fund trials for other indications as well as HIV.
Gates funds attempts to stem diseases that are prevalent in developing nations.
So I just took one on the top of Ohm's list, and A1 suggests:
"AA Amyloidosis is particularly prevalent in developing nations. AA amyloidosis is associated with chronic inflammatory diseases and chronic infections, which are more common in developing countries due to limited access to effective treatments and higher incidence of infectious diseases such as tuberculosis and leprosy..."
Good chance one or two others on Ohm's list might be candidates for Gatesian help. Especially if an HIV trial looks good.
