The irony is dyskinesia is the side effect from the rare disease Parkinsons, not the rare disease itself.
All what you said is true. I will add unfortunately there are new patients all the time and if they have more than one choice, that is a good thing.
The second thing I assumed, but did want to look up first before I spoke is there is no perfect drug. Not all drugs will work for all people. I wanted to see what the side effects of GOCOVRI are.
Table 1 starting on page 6 is the list Hallucinations was number 1 at 21% compared to placebo at 3%. The other troubling number a few pages earlier is suicidal thoughts or suicide attempts were in 2% of the patients. Hopefully that was only in the trial and doesn't happen with new patients.
Maybe Tanis can weigh in on the suicide thing as I remember hearing commercials on TV mention that in the disclaimer they say real fast. Maybe many drugs have that risk and it's par for the course.
