thanks for the info, I wondered about the propane being better -- glad to know it's the thing to do.

Seriously, this long outage was a real wake-up call -- with the weather being so severe in so many parts of the country in the past year, we all need to make sure we can handle a lengthy outage. I thought I was prepared, and I most certainly was NOT.
