Honda generators are famous for quiet and efficiency.  Can get em at Costco, Amazon etc.  I don't know if they have propane.  If you get a propane unit, you can safely store and transport propane bottles a lot more easily than gas cans. Less deals on good propane units, but I think worth the money if you've got it.  I'd have one already if I were single.  My wife is from Tibet and thinks I am ridiculous to think about spending money on "luxuries" that will only be used every few winters for a few days
