Arthritis drug baricitinib may help patients with Type 1 diabetes/
Baricitinib is a JAK1 and JAK2 inhibitor. It's exactly what leronlimab does. Leronlimab inhibits JAK1, JAK2 and JAK3. But of course leronlimab also inhibits a much wider array of inflammatory cytokines, so more effective. Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis are both on the leronlimab disease list as is type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
If anyone can outline what leronlimab does and what it's capable of across a wide variety of diseases it's Dr. Lalezari. But will the FDA listen?
