The Commission and Defendant Manuel appeared before Magistrate Judge Aaron for a
settlement conference on August 17, 2023. The conference did not result in a settlement, although
Magistrate Judge Aaron is continuing to engage with the parties in an attempt to reach a resolution.
To that end, Judge Aaron is holding a teleconference with the parties on Monday, August 28, 2023.
Defendants Joshua Sason and the Magna Entities
The Commission and Defendants Joshua Sason and Magna Management, LLC, Magna
Equities II, LLC, and MG Partners, Ltd. (collectively, the “Magna Entities”) are scheduled to appear
before Magistrate Judge Aaron for a settlement conference on September 7, 2023.

Pursuant to the Court’s July 10, 2023 Order (Dkt. 189), the parties’ submission of a joint
pretrial order is presently due October 10, 2023. In the event that the parties are able to resolve any
outstanding issues in dispute prior to that date, the parties will promptly inform the Court.
Additionally, the Commission and Defendant Manuel respectfully request that the Court set a date
of September 14, 2023 for a further status update.
