I believe we are seeing a country (the Philippines) make a very smart decision during a global pandemic in which they are significantly disadvantaged. They can’t run trials because they don’t have the proper infrastructure to support them. The can’t get what “few” vaccines are available because they’re smaller and “less important” than other markets/countries. They need to be more proactive than other countries and this appears to be the best choice available to them. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them get fast, broad uptake from doctors and hospitals around the country. It also wouldn’t surprise me if it happens before the unblinding as a result of their willingness to analyze CD10 and the EIND patients.
