In fact any analysis of what is said shows that the PR is saying that somethings MAY have changed and some MAY NOT have changed. The PR does not indicate if any changes that have occurred since that summary was written are positive or negative consequence.
You choose to apply a false logic to your analysis.
The company may well have been motivated by the SEC settlement that was in progress when it selected the wording for that PR. If that is the case then the purpose of the company was to make it clear to the SEC that the leak was not from the company by negating any possible appearance of gain from the release of that summary.
The company did so with the statement it made. It created uncertainty over the contents of that summary.
