Just saw a commercial for State Farm's answer to Progressive and Allstate. Appears there is no dongle installed in the port under the steering wheel, but is an application on a smart phone, which is shown mounted in a holder on the dashboard.
Doesn't seem that they are concerned with distracted driving, as the actor in the commercial keeps looking at his smart phone, away from the road ahead, to monitor his reporting activity. Seems like a terrible idea to me.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
I wonder how a State Farm insured can apply for a discount utilizing their monitoring application, if they do not own a smart phone, such as myself? Yes, I still utilize my old, trusty flip phone!!
The more I read, the more I realize ONCI has the only answer. Always thought Steve was a good salesman; perhaps he will prove this will a large contract or buy-out soon!!
