Jets still want to trade Tim Tebow but not just yet.

The Jets are making headlines again over trade rumors for their quarterback Tim Tebow. The team is bent on getting what they think is going to be a better deal, according to a Feb. 3 ESPN report.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jets do not plan to trade Tebow before the start of the new league year in March, hoping instead to hold on to him with the hopes that they can trade him, according to league sources..

Perhaps team owner Woody Johnson wants to do to someone else what he claims was done to him; force Tebow on someone else. The guy can’t catch a break, even on Super Bowl Sunday. Any team not hiding under a rock or working hard to get to the Super Bowl saw the drama unfold between Tebow and the Jets. Are they willing to go through the same thing next season?

Even the Jacksonville Jaguars who once had interest in the former Denver star are not willing to touch him. “I can't imagine a scenario in which he'll be a Jacksonville Jaguar -- even if he's released,” new Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said.

At least there seems to be someone in the Jets organization who does not place all the blame on Tebow. According to Schefter, there are members of the Jets organization who regret not giving the quarterback the chance to prove whether he was worth the deal.
