The author is angry to be sure. How dare someone develop a method that will take away the free money that has been available for so many years to those that sell that which they do not own? Leave it to Patrick Byrne to have done so with T+0. If the criminal behavior is as widespread as it appears to be other companies could flock to T+0 to overcome the manipulation of their companies as well. We know IPIX has been under attack for at least the last 5 years, could they do the same? How many millions of non issued shares of IPIX sit in investors accounts today? Lots! We would not have paid posters on the message boards 24/7 365 days a year trying to convince us to sell at a loss were it not profitable.
Last I knew the interest rate being charged daily on borrowed OSTK shares was over 35%
with investors owning shares being paid 30% by their brokerage firms and these are on legit borrows.
What if anything will the SEC do? Stay tuned, word on the street is that they are captured.
