I like you idea:
1) address a problem/ topic
2) discuss solutions
3) discuss political ideologies and "impedance"

The first and most important question to me is, what do you believe are the main drivers of spending? Rx cost? something along those lines
Main drivers of spending?
The insurance model price disconnect may help drive up cost. I can tell you produce and ice cream is cheaper at Krogers, milk at Aldi, etc. But I have no clue which hospital is cheaper for which procedure. I don't shop around. I assume there is probably a difference. Same with Rx cost.
Also, if I walk into Aldi and pay $3 for a gallon of milk and someone walked in and paid $1, I would be upset and demand I pay only $1 for it. This is an exaggerated example, but that price disconnect I feel could inflate prices. Isn't that is what (if we want to keep for-profit) a capitalist model suppose to do?
