well IF they can raise $5M at $5 a share, the fundamentals of the company will be so radically changed, the share price will have to go north. Just seems low risk. Like, what if we only raise $750k at $5 a share? We can then say the whole experience netted us $750 k for like 8 million shares when u include the WeildCo dilution from May/June so that's still great.
I don't think this will be the typical crowdfunding approach you see for companies with loyal brands. I think this will be a structured way for certain parties to take advantage of arbitrage to some extent, and for more philanthropically minded people to make meaningful contributions.
