In my field I say a bunch of stuff is worthless but my worthless scale is under $100M.
The fact is there are probably 100's of drugs like Elto floating around or on the shelf. Not everyone can be well versed in all of them. This is why small bios exist. To find lumps of coal and turn them every once is awhile into diamond. I seem to recall Dr. Urano doing a trial on some old drug for Wolfram's. Don't remember the name off hand or the revenue it generates, but re-purposing is a smart try.
You would think if Elto was truly low value, the company would focus on ESS that is quickest to market instead. I think the trials with Elto are much quicker and they now feel confident they will be even more successful than before.
Rather than saying Elto is worthless, it may be more correct to say the value is yet to be realized.
