WARNING Spoiler alert. Movie quotes abound for entertainment value only. Bonus points to those that know the movies.
Yeah I know:
"As long as you don't choose, everything remains possible."
So I usually don't choose which of many posts to respond to. Although moderators on most message boards tend to delete a shot gun style of posts which is best suited for twitter as many of them disappear here, but I can still see the missing posts counts.
Someone once said to me to forget the other board as it service no purpose other than the obvious and they were right. Maybe jail time and million dollar penalties changes things?
Based on comments here I heard someone on the other board now resorts to taking snapshots of content over here and posting it there. Not sure why the moderator over there can't or doesn't want to have an engaging discussion and drove all of the posters over here. I haven't read that board in over a year, but if "free speech" is ever respected again over there, let me know and I'll post again.
Meanwhile, I'm sure iHang doesn't mind the free advertisement sending their paid subscribers here as they can easily figure out where the content came from with a quick search. Remember, 1 "other board" subscriber equals 10 IDs here. That's a lot of members and views. I'd wonder how the other board owners feel about that, but who cares as they can police their own moderators?
If you decide to continue to post there please be warned that any attempts to penetrate the Borg's electromagnetic board and message of doom will be met with great resistance. The short Dalek in charge is bent on extermination at any cost and has put his life on hold for his/hers/its one way Mission to Mars. May the force be with you and the SEC who regularly checks on moderators that dominate a public message boards that are suppose to be somewhat neutral. Government loves red flags.
As Sir Alexander Dane once said:
"You're just going to have to figure out what it wants. What is its motivation?:
You'll quickly come to realize though:
"It's a rock monster. It doesn't have motivation."
Keep in mind:
"Every human being has a basic instinct: to help each other out. If a hiker gets lost in the mountains, people will coordinate a search. If a train crashes, people will line up to give blood. If an earthquake levels a city, people all over the world will send emergency supplies. This is so fundamentally human that it's found in every culture without exception. Yes, there are azzholes who just don't care, but they're massively outnumbered by the people who do."
A friend once said;
"You can't get so hung up on where you'd rather be that you forget to make the most of where you are."
End the end, don't worry. In the immortal words of FG:
"This isn't happening, Dale. We're not here. It's just a bad dream."
WTF: I just realized I woke up 90 years too early on the AMBS space ship with JP, Can someone please put me back in the pod! Where's J Law? Get out of here JP!
To be fair, to everyone that is invested, did invest, wants to invest - which is all really one one can ask:
"You'll find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view"
I tend to hang on to the positive views as I know the damage ER Stress and the irreversible damage it can cause living in a negative world. Ironically the optimist in me says maybe MANF one day can change that even for those that see the glass 99% empty (who can blame them).
If those POVs were say, only expressed once per week, Oh "what a lovely world this would be".
