That is indeed a prime example of a classic false equivalency. My bad.
I do agree that things are never "pure and simple". I got an email from my college roommate of two years that talked about how his Dad and uncle, both members of the KKK, spent time in Europe shooting at NAZIs.
I can assure you that Jim, my roomie, is no where even in the vicinity of being in agreement with the KKK. In fact, he was a "bonehead" Librul back then and remains so today......Jim has a marriage that is opposite of mine. He married a bossy little Republican.
I'm not nor have I refuted anything about his voting record. I'm just saying that had a picture of Trump kissing a reformed Republican Byrd popped up, the Left would have poop hemorrhaged themselves to death. Hell, I wish something like that would pop up. These things are fun to watch.
