Really, Salty? You're going to 'die on this hill'? You've chosen to defend a women clearly unqualified for her job and to decry the state of education today, with four paragraphs no less!
Public education has always been 'spotty'. But there have always been public and private schools that excel in preparing their students for the best HS's and the best public and private U's.
They're still with us and they are still sending more qualified students than the best U's can admit.
The choice of spelling by hyepower was so clearly satirical, and not a little sarcastic, that it begs the question. How could a well edgicated man like yourself miss it?
Betsy's appointment in no way supports the idea of a meritocracy where a good education and achievement qualify people for their responsibilities.
Now be sure to take that 'baby bayer' before you go nighty nighty.
I do, along with a big dose of Atorvastatin.
