Ya gotta love the Google machine! "Freeze" and "Northern Lights " seem like better choices to me.

The team was officially named the Wild, with the unveiling occurring at Aldrich Arena in the suburb of Maplewood on January 22, 1998. The new name was introduced to everyone with the song "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf playing over the arena's speaker system.
