Former Clinton-Era Intelligence Director Woolsey to Advise Trump
R. James Woolsey, former head of CIA under President Clinton, says that though he’s been Democrat all his adult life, he’s "pleased to be asked" to advise Donald Trump.
Woolsey, in Trump campaign statement, cites Trump’s "commitment to reversing the harmful defense budget cuts signed into law by the current administration"
He says Hillary Clinton has "demonstrated a complete lack of understanding" and "lacks the ability to lead her senior managers while complying with and maintaining the basic protocols designed to protect our government’s sensitive and classified information"
In interview on CNN, Woolsey says he’s not in business of commenting on whether people should release medical records
