Allow me to clarify....
The NEW slides were apparently installed and tested just to make sure they work. This is to ensure the same problem won't occur during the next evac...the evac will still proceed exactly as it is supposed to...they won't skip the new slide deploying just because they tested it yesterday after finding the old ones to be faulty.
