Why dose R/S ratio matter?

I am long with 1.2+ million shares. Can someone explain me why the R/S ration matters as long as the company can drop off some good news after being uplisted onto NASDAQ and keep the price rising? What is the difference between 1:20 or 1:100 R/S as long as the total market cap is the same. Less number of shares means higher price per share, no? Thanks in advance.
