It irritates me to no end for some government as swipe like Obama thinks they have the right to decide what is a "good enough" retirement income for the American people. Isn't that up to each of us to determine for ourselves, and invest accordingly?
This all started in the last presidential election, where it was discovered Romney had more than $100 million in his IRA. He invested in his own business holdings, which he was legally allowed to do, and did fantastically well. It wasn't a Roth IRA, and he will be taxed upon withdrawals, but many people without adequate retirement savings felt it was wrong for anyone to have that much. I disagree. I congratulate him for making such great investments within the boundaries of the law. Why should he be punished? He should be a model for the rest of us to invest and become wealthy as well.
