I agree with biotechexpert. The shorts claim is often made with no real substance. If the short activity on a given trading day is 50% of the overall volume, the stock should be neutral, not continue higher. The short volume we're seeing is likely the market makers trying to supply shares when there are not enough sellers to meet the demand. In that regard, perhaps it is hindering the move upward a bit, but not for a minute do I believe the price is being controlled by the shorts.

I am not a short stuck in my position. One, I've never shorted any stock, and two, my average price is just over 4 cents. I never intend to short this stock. I think that would be a great way to lose money. And I don't believe the unsubstantiated claim that 99% of shorts make money. That's about as ridiculous a claim as saying most day traders make a profit, when the studies show the vast majority lose money. When someone brags to me about all the money they're making in the market, I ask them to show me their Schedule D from their tax return. I haven't had a single person so far willing to do that. We know the reason why they decline.

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, or a narcissistic board moderator may delete it because it doesn't support his disjointed thinking, but in the end, there it is.
