Thank you JB. It is always nice to find others who are or were joggers/runners. Sounds like you were really into it and enjoyed it. I have been running since my early 20's However I ran my first Marathon at 55 in 4:18 and have done 5 others since running in the Fall in the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington DC. I only live 30 miles away in Manassas VA. I enjoy running the longer distances like the 10k, 10 miles, 1/2 Marathon and Marathons. I only get wormed up by 3 miles and seem to pick up speed and get in a good rhythm after that. I do a few each year in the fall when it is much cooler and use the Spring and Summer to get in condition. I am 64 now and will be 65 in June and am signed up for the Marine Corp Marathon in Late October and plan on signing up for a Half Marathon which will be run two weeks before the marathon. Swimming is GREAT exorcise. I am amazed how easily Tired and worn out I get even though I train and run a lot. Do what you can and enjoy it.
