Thanks, Plotinus...my opinion might also be colored by my experiences with a relatively rare genetic condition, and also the medical mess that Oregon has become. I'm sure in more enlightened places, say the east coast, maybe even Seattle and parts of California, providers are more *allowed by insurers* to do what they feel best for the patient. Here, it's not been my experience nor the experience of others I know in this state.
