If you're a foundation trying to "remain anonymous" with your Cytodyn relationship, then hiring Cytodyn's newly minted Senior VP and Head of Clinical Development to be your head of HIV Strategy and Drug Development would likely blow that whole anonymous strategy out of the water.
I never put much stock into the idea that a big pharma company would not want to partner until after NP was done with his trial. (I could be wrong) Because I think big pharma is very comfortable working alongside ambulance chasers, bullshit lawsuits, and fda hand slaps. A foundation on the other hand, has a different reputation to uphold. I do think it's plausible they'd want to wait.
You'd also have to wonder whether or not the AI company that remains to be anonymous is a result of this background relationship with the Gates Foundation. They are focused on AI, after all. And then our Alzheimer's pilot study is going to be run and funded by a foundation that wants to remain anonymous for some undetermined amount of time.
Well, maybe that time is up.
