Over the course of my business career, I had the occasion to need attorneys for a variety of reasons and I became all to aware of the VERY high cost of litigation. As a "small fish", it was not always a matter of being able to pay the retainer. More than once, I needed a referral from a peer or an acquaintance to get past the associate level attorney to the big guns.

ABSOLUTELY NO OFFENSE INTENDED, but attorneys are nearly a dime a dozen, but when you have it all on the line and you need a heavyweight, you do not an associate, let alone a staff attorney.
