Anyway, some people here seem to think that Sidely came on because they believe in CYDY so much and in a sense, did CYDY a favor. I don't at all believe that to be the case. They came on because while they did think they could help CYDY, the fact is that CYDY likely paid a huge retainer and law firms tend to like being paid. This was not pro-bono because Sidley wants to help humanity and believes in leronlimab over the almighty dollar.
If CYDY did not have enough money to pay the retainer and Sidley also didn't think that CYDY had a strong case, then Sidley would have passed, just as most law firms would have. Litigation takes HUGE money.
