I agree, firing the CEO, who the shareholders just elected to another term, is a big deal affecting the share price and shareholders need to know if there is a reason behind the move that could be about their investment.

Speculation on mergers and acquisitions we don't need to be told, but if we just elected the guy and you just fired him, we need to know why.
