I realize that everyone around here wants the big fish.( cnn, fox,etc..)
Continuously, we see these accounts & look to people we do not know to correct the wrong. ( power-in our minds).
How about contacting the newspaper in the community where the doc actually works & lives? Let him explain to patients & friends why he is so quick to discount alternatives & tell you to kiss grandma goodbye. Let him explain himself. And if fellow Rotarians at the paper do not wish to force his hand, force theirs. If there is enough news at the local level, majors will pick it up.
We should not let our buddies off the hook & blame FDA, ETC...
If locals are not subjected, why should mainstream take us seriously? And if small town newspapers report nothing but sales & obits, why subscribe. I feel that we should apply pressure to the peoplewe look at every day.
Hope your friends wife survives & sorry that md found it so easy not to pursue every possibility for the sake of life. If it had meant risking his own it would have been considered cowardly. This is worse.
