The regulators can do something about abusive naked shorting but they don't because they are afraid that the entire system might collapse if they did;
The same logic which was used when they opted to grandfather in existing shorts in Reg SHO without discussion. The regulators have been captured just as our politicians have. Until enough of us demand an end to this criminal behavior it will continue. Go IPIX!!!
