Pete, thanks for your input! I was told that naked shorts are above the law and neither regulatory authorities nor MM/brokers can do anything to force them to cover. Also MM/brokers are colluding with NS and their positions can stay open/hidden forever. If MM/brokers accuse NS of owing them interest, they expose themselves because NS is illegal.
