How come naked shorting wasn't a big problem when the stock was doing well in 2014, but all the sudden became one after Mako in 2015?
The trading algorithm for the stock market is very complicated. Not many people understand exactly how it works. I think those 'anomalies' are 'bugs' in the algorithm because it was written long time ago. Maybe a change to the algorithm would require approval from Congress (my guess).
At least I'm glad to see you don't think daily short volume represents actual short interest. Hopefully you can explain it to Alan.
