Alan quoted a sentence which wasn't in the source file. I think all of us know how to divide to get a percentage, so why add it? Here's why.

If he quotes exactly as the source, does it look scary to new investors? Not really because it doesn't have the same visual effect without "64% of today's volume was short sales!".

I disagree that discussing this topic is counterproductive because the alternative is worse. If new investors see "64% of today's volume was short sales!" without a response, they think it's probably true because silence implies consent.

Just by reading it, whose post is more likely to scare new investors? Alan's or my rebuttal? Hopefully you can convince Alan not to add the bold part if his true intention isn't to scare new investors.
