Re: grajekk #2826

I have wondered why they didnt load from the side of the dock where CWRN's ore was -except that one load had a huge pile of scrap metal between water and CWRN's ore-other than that most of the Handymax 30-40k ton class have much shallower drafts than the 47 ft port depth and most Handymax have their own loading equipment because they frequently visit ports w no loading equipment.

In one of the pics posted ca jan 2011 re the dredging the dredger was working not far from the area  of the dock where CWRN's ore is always stored-though dont know the slope of the bed next to the breakwater

remember the port plans on expanding the port to the north-creating a new commodities terminal- though the ports plans are way behind schedule-they had planned on a second berth/set of cranes opposite (next to) CWRN's ore by 2009.
