Comerica Bank's Mission to Empower Teens for Prom Success
Celebrating a Decade of Prom Dreams with Comerica Bank
Comerica Bank is gearing up for a significant milestone as it proudly hosts its 10th annual North Texas Prom Dress Drive this February. This heartfelt initiative, which takes place at multiple banking centers, has already brought countless smiles to local teens by providing them with the opportunity to attend prom in beautiful attire.
A Lifeline for Teens
Through this drive, Comerica Bank aims to benefit local teens who might not have access to formal attire without assistance. The program specifically supports teens from organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs and Dallas CASA, ensuring that those who would otherwise be unable to afford fancy dresses can enjoy this special high school tradition.
Beatrice Kelly's Vision
Beatrice Kelly, Senior Vice President and Director of Community Development Banking at Comerica, emphasized the importance of the drive. She stated, "We have partnered with our colleagues and customers to send thousands of teens to the prom, including over 200 last year. This initiative aligns with our mission to empower young women in our communities. Our goal this year is to support even more teens, honoring ten incredible years of service and support.”
Expanding Reach with New Locations
To further their commitment, Comerica Bank has introduced two new drop-off locations for dress donations in 2025: the Mockingbird-Abrams Banking Center and the Preston John Hickman Banking Center. In collaboration with Project Beauty, an organization committed to empowering individuals, Comerica will also provide beauty swag bags and a makeover to three lucky teens on prom night.
