Spectrum Scholars is a vital part of enhancing the talent pipeline in the U.S. and prepares students for success in their future careers.
Introducing the Fifth Class of Spectrum Scholars
With great pride, Spectrum announced its fifth cohort of Spectrum Scholars, comprising 15 aspiring college juniors. Each of these students will receive a $20,000 scholarship alongside participation in a two-year professional development program. To date, this program has provided $1.8 million in scholarships and has positively impacted the lives of 90 students since it began in 2020.
The Spectrum Scholars program takes a holistic approach by combining financial support with mentorship from experienced professionals within Spectrum. Scholars are invited to participate in networking events, leadership development, and have the chance to secure a paid, 10-week internship at one of Spectrum's corporate offices located throughout the country.
Connection and Mentorship Build Career Foundations
Paul Marchand, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, shared insights on the program's purpose: "Spectrum Scholars is one of the many ways we're building our employee pipeline – one that's 100% U.S.-based and rooted in long-term tenure and career growth. Through the program, we're helping students build the skills, confidence, and connections they need to launch meaningful careers, many of them here at Spectrum."
The current class includes students pursuing diverse degrees such as computer science, marketing, and electrical engineering, representing both public and private institutions across the U.S. Through the next two years, they will engage in experiences that are crucial for shaping their professional journey.
Real Experiences Leading to Real Opportunities
One standout from the previous class is Paola "Lola" Beber Sanches, who shared her success story as a Brand Marketing Specialist at Spectrum Reach, the advertisingdivision of Spectrum. Her journey began as a Spectrum Scholar while at Pace University, where she interned with the Advertising Sales team. Her performance led to an additional internship in the Brand Marketing and Strategy group, culminating in her full-time employment in January 2025, just a few years after joining the program.
"Being part of Spectrum Scholars helped build a strong foundation for me, both personally and professionally, and prepared me for the transition from college to career," Lola explained. "The time spent with my mentor was particularly impactful, helping me understand more about the Company, the industry, and myself, ultimately turning my career goals into a reality."
