HIGHLIGHTS:

QUITO, Ecuador — Solaris Resources Inc. (“Solaris” or the “Company”) (TSX: SLS; NYSE: SLSR) is thrilled to announce a significant collaborative initiative with the Pueblo Shuar Arutam organization (PSHA). This partnership was solidified through the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI), aimed at fostering productive dialogues and partnerships.
The creation of an Inter-Institutional working group consists of representatives from PSHA, local communities of Warints and Yawi, and the Ecuadorian State. This group marks a monumental step forward, demonstrating Solaris's commitment to open and respectful communication with stakeholders, particularly indigenous groups.
Matthew Rowlinson, President and CEO of Solaris commented on the importance of this venture, stating, “At Solaris Resources, sustainability goes beyond economic success; it encompasses respect for indigenous communities and their invaluable insights into responsible mining practices.”
Building Relationships through Dialogue
In early January, the PSHA convened at the Yawi Shuar Center, ultimately resolving to form this pivotal working group. The signing of the LOI on February 5 further cements this commitment and builds on existing support from the Shuar Centers that already enjoy an Impacts and Benefits Agreement (IBA) with Solaris. This agreement, originally signed in September 2020 and renewed multiple times since, serves as a model for inclusive resource development.
The inclusion of PSHA in bridging discussions exemplifies Solaris's dedication to respecting the rich culture and historical ties of the indigenous communities. This initiative is designed to ensure that resource development respects the rights and priorities of local communities.
Advancing the Warintza Project
Additionally, Solaris has successfully concluded an extensive infill drilling program at its Warintza Project. This comprehensive endeavor covered over 75,000 meters in 2024, followed by 5,000 meters in early 2025, contributing to the planned Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) scheduled for mid-2025 release.
This drilling campaign particularly focused on converting Inferred resource categories to Measured and Indicated resources while addressing uncategorized areas that will be integral for the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) expected in the third quarter of 2025. The growth of this resource base significantly enhances the project's viability.
Community Engagement and Future Plans
The collaborative efforts extend far beyond mere mining logistics; they represent a profound commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment. The IBA and ongoing cooperation agreements with the PSHA and local Shuar communities ensure that economic benefits from mining translate into tangible improvements in health, education, and community infrastructure.
Solaris aims to nurture local capacities through education and skills training while fostering entrepreneurship among community members. The IBA has already set a notable benchmark for corporate social responsibility within the industry, encouraging best practices for equitable relationships between resource developers and indigenous populations.
Rowlinson further expressed gratitude towards PSHA and local stakeholders, affirming the intention to responsibly develop this Tier 1 asset for the benefit of Ecuador and its people, spreading opportunities across generations.
