Silver Storm Mining Expands High-Grade Silver Discovery Depth
Exciting New Discoveries at Silver Storm Mining
Silver Storm Mining Ltd. (“Silver Storm” or the "Company") (TSX.V: SVRS | OTC: SVRSF), is thrilled to announce further promising drill results from its ongoing diamond drilling program at the La Parrilla Silver Mine Complex in Mexico. The recently completed phase-two drilling has revealed significant extensions of high-grade silver mineralization, offering exciting potential for future production.
Significant Drill Results
A total of nine drill holes spanning 947 metres have been analyzed, showcasing remarkable grades of silver. Noteworthy findings include hole SM-24-019, which returned an impressive 611 grams per tonne (g/t) of silver equivalent over a length of 1.50 metres. In addition, SM-24-018 demonstrated strong mineralization with results of 440 g/t Ag.Eq over 1.40 m, 576 g/t Ag.Eq over 1.00 m, and 558 g/t Ag.Eq over 2.00 m within a substantial interval of 298 g/t Ag.Eq over 8.60 m.
These positive results indicate a substantial downdip extension of the high-grade replacement sulphide zone detected, which now extends at least 100 metres below the last mined stope, further underscoring the area's mineral potential. Historical channel samples from the mined stope reported grades of 597 g/t of Ag.Eq over an average width of 2.37 metres, reinforcing the newfound potential beneath prior mine development.
Mineralization Confirmation
The recent drilling efforts revealed that mineralization is not only wider but also exists at greater depths compared to previous mined areas. The Company also successfully intersected additional oxide mineralization with drill holes that demonstrated impressive results, ensuring a consistent expansion of resources for future development.
Highlights of San Marcos Zone
The San Marcos Zone, characterized by quartz-carbonate veins, exhibits well-defined high-grade mineralization. With a known strike length of approximately 650 metres, these veins dip 60 degrees to the northeast and feature intervals of oxide mineralization containing hematite, goethite, and other silver-bearing minerals. The most recent hole, SM-24-024, recorded 322 g/t Ag.Eq over 0.50 m along with 220 g/t Ag.Eq over 1.45 m, highlighting the extensive resource in this zone.
Technical Analysis Implementation
Silver Storm prioritizes quality assurance in its drilling programs. By employing detailed monitoring protocols, which include the implementation of blanks, duplicates, and standards during sample analysis, they maintain a robust quality control framework. The drill cores undergo stringent processes ensuring proper custody and analysis in certified laboratories, which further enhances the credibility of their results.
Future Development Plans
Greg McKenzie, President and CEO of Silver Storm, commented on the positive infill drill results confirming the extension of the high-grade sulphide zone. The results have not only confirmed the previously identified resource but also highlight the potential benefits of developing the oxide circuit in a restart scenario. As the discovery unfolds, the Company aims to explore further drilling possibilities within the surrounding areas.
