On Friday, Sacramento, Calif., Democratic Party communications director Allan Brauer told an aide to Senator Ted Cruz (R., Tex.) via Twitter that he hoped her children “die from debilitating, painful and incurable diseases.”
The exchange occurred after Cruz aide Amanda Carpenter tweeted: “GOP beat gun control, changed Obama’s mind on Syria, is holding the line on amnesty. We can defund Obamacare, too!”

When Carpenter called him out, Brauer embarked on a hate filled and childish Twitter tirade:

He then went on the defensive, sort of:
