Northrop Grumman Showcases Public Safety Capabilities at APCO International Conference

ANAHEIM, Calif. – Aug. 16, 2013 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC ) will present its public safety solutions for first responders next week at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials Annual Conference and Exposition.

The conference and exposition will be held Aug. 18-21 at the Anaheim Convention Center. At booth 1337, Northrop Grumman will exhibit several demos that showcase its various public safety capabilities. The company will also sponsor the Broadband Committee reception Aug. 17.

"With more than 40 years of public safety experience, Northrop Grumman has the knowledge, expertise and capabilities to solve our customers' most complex problems," said Ed Sturms, vice president Civil Solutions, Northrop Grumman Information Systems. "From developing computer-aided dispatch systems, to designing and deploying a broad range of wireless networks, to integrating advanced technologies, Northrop Grumman is leading the way in public safety solutions."

On Aug. 21, Northrop Grumman executive Sam Simpson will provide an account of the challenges to leadership decision making for the emergency services in London during a planned or unplanned major event.

On display in the booth will be the "FirstNet Nationwide Network: Ensuring Network Integrity" presentation, which highlights the company's proud history in public safety and includes its proposed network architecture for the FirstNet Nationwide Network (FNN).

FNN will connect emergency responders and services in real-time from local, state and federal agencies. Northrop Grumman's company-invested and highly qualified network model offers protected technologies with functionality in identity management, cybersecurity and applications services – the three most critical elements of the nationwide network core.

The booth will also include a demonstration of how Northrop Grumman's Law Enforcement Information Exchange (LInX) solution breaks down jurisdictional and technical barriers to improve data sharing across municipal, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

LInX provides comprehensive, proven and certified U.S. Department of Defense-level security capabilities and features that are capable of addressing sensitive and mission-critical homeland security and law enforcement intelligence needs across jurisdictions. LInX helps find hidden associations and connections within existing law enforcement records sources.

Northrop Grumman will highlight its CommandPoint™ suite of public safety products that enable communications centers and first responders to efficiently respond to emergency calls and make informed decisions to meet the demands of law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services. The suite of products includes computer-aided dispatch, records management systems, mobile applications and automated field reporting. Northrop Grumman has implemented public safety applications in seven of the 10 largest cities in the United States, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, as well as London in the United Kingdom.
