Pete, your friend with Crohn's may be able to get some relief RIGHT NOW. There is a study running on the use of Anatabloc for Crohn's -- I don't remember which clinic, I think it's somewhere in Ohio. Anyway Anatabloc is a powerful systemic anti-inflammatory with no side effects -- it's FDA approved as a "nutraceutical" and there are several of us here who are taking it for various other inflammatory conditions like arthritis, or just general sore muscles from exercising etc. Anyway, I highly recommend that your friend try this. Some people with Crohn's say that it's been a great help to them. If your friend tries it, he needs to go online and find out what the recommended dose is for his weight -- it's 6 a day (2, 3 times a day) for people up to 130 pounds. 7 for up to I think 180, and increases from there. But in the many studies they are running on Anatabloc (including for thyroid problems, and for head injuries, and for Alzheimer's) they are giving the patients higher doses. I recommend that he get the UNFLAVORED ones, because the flavored ones have mint and a very small amount of sucralose, and some people may be sensitive to that. The lozenzes are supposed to be dissolved under your tongue or between your teeth and your cheek, so that it is absorbed via the membranes. VERY IMPORTANT: he needs to try to take it about every 8 hours so there is a constant level of Anatabloc in his system.
I've been using it for over a year now for just general aches from overexertion, and have found it to be great. You can get a discount by getting a GNC Gold Card, which gives you a 20% discount on it. It's about 80 bucks for 300 pills. Worth every penny in my book.
