Summer Infant Expands Upon Stroller Line; Introduces Innovative, Lightweight Fuze Stroller

WOONSOCKET, RI--(Marketwired - May 28, 2013) - Summer Infant ® , a leader in juvenile products, expands upon its existing stroller line with its lightest weight, new Fuze™ stroller with an innovative aluminum design. The Fuze line can be purchased as a standalone stroller or as a complete travel system when paired with Summer Infant's award-winning Prodigy ® Infant Car Seat. Building upon its collection of strollers even further, Summer Infant also introduces the sleek and modern Spectra™ stroller and the 3D lite Convenience Stroller, providing parents with more options than ever before.

Features of the Fuze stroller include: a lightweight aluminum frame, forward and rear facing seat, and a flat, compact fold -- with the ability to do so with the seat in place. Additional features include lockable front swivel wheels, a one-step pedicure-friendly rear break, and a three-position recline. A fully retractable canopy complete with a peek-a-boo window always keeps little ones in view, and the magnetic closure allows moms and dads to peek quietly without waking baby. A universal car seat adaptor is included with the stand-alone stroller, but as a complete travel system, it can be purchased with the Summer Infant Prodigy Infant Car Seat with SmartScreen™ technology. The stroller is available in a variety of colors and styles, including an on-trend chevron pattern, so parents can truly individualize their look.

Summer Infant is also launching the Spectra stroller line, a multi-functional full-size stroller featuring a simple one-hand, self-standing fold and multi-position reclining seat. The lightweight aluminum frame and modern design ensures that time on-the-go with baby is stylish and effortless. Pair the Spectra stroller with the Prodigy Infant Car Seat for a complete travel system that will grow with the child.

Making the collection complete is Summer Infant's just-released 3D lite Convenience Stroller, an extremely lightweight umbrella stroller that works well for caregivers as they go about their busy day with baby. An extra large storage basket -- the first in its category without an X frame -- holds personal belongings such as a diaper bag, purse, or light shopping bags. This durable stroller has an adjustable and removable canopy with a flip out sun visor, a wide seat base and recline feature, and large wheels that allow it to glide over most surfaces. It also includes: rear-wheel brakes, locking front swivel wheels, and a convenient compact fold with carrying strap. The five-point harness system ensures that baby is safe and secure during every ride.

"Summer Infant prides itself on providing caregivers and their children with quality products that are safe, easy to use, and affordable," said Jason Macari, President and CEO, Summer Infant. "Our new stroller offerings, leading with the innovative Fuze stroller, have the safety and convenience features parents want -- a sleek, modern look, and a price tag that won't break the bank."

The Fuze stroller is available at Buy Buy Baby and at www.summerinfant.com . The suggested retail price for the stroller is $349.99 and $499.99 when purchased with the Prodigy Infant Car Seat. The Spectra stroller is available online at www.summerinfant.com with additional retailers coming soon. The suggested retail price of the Spectra stroller is $219.99 and $399.99 when purchased with Prodigy Infant Car Seat. The 3D lite Convenience Stroller is available online at www.summerinfant.com and at retailers where juvenile products are sold. The suggested retail price of the 3D lite Convenience Stroller is $79.99.

To celebrate the launch of this new collection, Summer Infant is giving away the new Fuze Travel System with the award-winning Prodigy® Infant Car Seat to one winner. People can enter to win at www.facebook.com/summerinfant up until June 14th.
