Sharky -
I am personally glad to have you back. As you know, I like you and back much of what you have said over the year + we have both been here.
To your point about hearing only one side of the story...Yes, we have probably heard more from SS, but it's not like we haven't heard from JC. So, what do we know from JC?
He said he complained to the SEC. To that end, he posted a downloadable portion of his employment contract. As we both know, employment contracts are not fodder for the SEC. Whether a complaint was truly submitted is unknown, but if that's what the complaint is about, you and I both know it's not going anywhere.
He said this was good for shareholders and he wanted to be a good corporate citizen. So -- are you feeling the love?! Every time I look at our current PPS, I shudder. It has been in a constant decline ever since he proclaimed himself to be CEO. Should this not work out in his favor, should he truly not have anything of substance waiting in the wings, SS is only his first problem. WE ARE THE NEXT.
And further -- how does someone claim to be CEO when he can't even find the SEC-POSTED, PUBLICALLY ACCESSIBLE BYLAWS THAT TELL HIM HOW TO REMOVE THE CURRENT CEO?! (not yelling, just emphasizing!) That's one of the few things he communicated.
PRs put out on remote, less-than-reputable sites proclaiming he is CEO.
A Director of Communications unable to confirm anything other than a PR went out.
Copycat FB websites -- how and why would this even be necessary? how is that good for shareholders?
I am tending to believe here that JC has no idea what he is doing, no idea the world of hurt he is putting on himself or us. That's just based upon what he has said and what I have personally seen.
Unless and until I see something of substance coming from him, a smoking gun, there is nothing to worry about. Anticipatory anxiety is overrated. Show me facts...then I'll worry if need be. Until then, I remember what brought me to this investment in the first place. I never heard of Punch TV or JC at that time -- and thought SS was building something and had the drive and personality to succeed with this particular vision.
Not every company makes it, we all know that. But occasionally, a few do. ICPA (now PNCH) seemed to have some real substance for a pink. I think it still does. And I believe it can succeed, if managed well.
