The most anticipated speaker was legendary entrepreneur, investor and mentor Vinod Khosla , who revealed how other entrepreneurs can identify and profit from industry shifts. Additionally, Pandora 's Tom Conrad, alongside Andreessen Horowitz ' Chris Dixon and RunKeeper 's Jason Jacobs, shared how mobile entrepreneurs can reach 10 million users, and provided tips to keep those users coming back for more. DEMO Mobile 2013 also featured the first Founder School , where inaugural speaker and godfather of the Lean Startup movement Steve Blank addressed the challenges posed by the mobile environment.
