Xeriant (OTCQB: XERI) announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 12,679,047 covering the company’s proprietary multilayered fire-resistant polymer composite and manufacturing method. The patent protects the core technology behind NEXBOARD, the company’s eco-friendly construction panel made from recycled plastic and fiber waste, and further strengthens the intellectual property supporting its DUREVER advanced materials platform.
The patented multilayered composite design enables more efficient use of non-toxic fire retardants while incorporating recycled materials into the panel core, creating an alternative to traditional building materials such as drywall, plywood, OSB and MgO board. Xeriant said the technology has potential applications across construction, aerospace, transportation and energy markets, and the company is pursuing additional international patent protection through Patent Cooperation Treaty and continuation applications.
