Quote:How does the recent study result on INN-amivantamab - EMA method of action v leronlimab method of action effect our market place position?
Not much. Amivantamab blocks EGFR and MET receptors both of which are involved in tumor growth. EGFR and MET are both upregulated by cancer associated fibroblasts. Those fibroblasts are downregulated by CCR5 blockade. The downside to EFGR blockade is that it increases CCL5 expression and the recruitment of immunosuppressive cells and tumor associated macrophages to the tumor microenvironment. So amivantamab is fighting a bit against itself to eliminate the tumor. It would also do nothing to increase M1 macrophages. Leronlimab combined with a PD-L1/PD-1 inhibitor should be far superior.
