Quote:The drug is called daraxonrasib, and it blocks a mutated protein that fuels tumor growth in more than 90% of pancreatic cancer cases — a target that had eluded treatment for decades.
The mutated protein is called RAS. CCR5 drives RAS activation and in return RAS increases levels of CCR5. This has been shown in cases of neuroinflammation and the mechanism would be the same in cancer. Yet another way leronlimab would help in cancer, Alzheimer's and other neurological diseases. Daraxonrasib does not have the additional benefits that leronlimab supplies.
