Silvercorp Metals (TSX: SVM) (NYSE American: SVM) announced leadership changes within its senior accounting and finance team. Effective Nov. 10, longtime Chief Financial Officer Derek Liu retired after nearly a decade in the role and will remain with the company in a consulting capacity during the transition. The company appointed Winnie Wang as interim CFO, effective immediately. Wang, who joined Silvercorp in 2024 and most recently served as CFO of its China operations, brings over 15 years of corporate finance and accounting leadership, including prior roles with PwC and Asurion China. Silvercorp also named Lei Wu as corporate controller, responsible for financial reporting, planning, and treasury. Wu joins from New Gold Inc., where he was finance controller at the Rainy River Mine, and holds CPA, CFA, and PMP designations. These appointments underscore Silvercorp’s commitment to strong financial governance and internal talent development.
