Did I conflate 2 conference calls into one memory? When NP was in, Dr. Jay was in his Quest life, and chimed in with his opinion that he thought Cytodyn had a home run on its hands. In real time, working my day job, I thought home run was a massive understatement. At the tail end of that call or a different CC, NP thanked the shareholders for our support and said he wasn't going to just sell or give away the company for $5 per share. (This was sometime before the "3 fingers", "triple digits" or "Gilead times ten" declarations by NP.)
I think you are correct to put Greed and FOMO (competition) in the list of settlement issues. Adding "saving lives" nearly caused a morning coffee spit take.
